Journey into the land.

This November, artists Giuseppe D’Innella, Jayson Lilley and Anna Masters, take us on a journey to uncover new ways to perceive, navigate and engage with our local landscapes.

Drawing on their own unique histories and influences, the three artists respond to the landscape through abstraction, innovative printmaking techniques and large-scale organic installations. The resulting exhibition celebrates our built, natural and cultivated landscapes in ways that highlight not only the variety of landscapes that we interact with, but also demonstrates how the same landscapes are interpreted through vastly different lenses.

Sun-Soaked vibrant vistas

Giuseppe D'Innella

Giuseppe is a celebrated Italian screenprinter whose works are recognisable for their bold colour palettes and complex compositions, building up many layers of colour to create unique and small-edition artworks. Through a process of abstracting and reconstructing the dominant shapes of the landscape, Giuseppe brings new and unique perspectives to the land, discarding details and instead focussing on the ambient essence of a place.

Giuseppe lives and works in London.

Dynamic urban skylines

Jayson Lilley

Jayson’s artistic practice pushes the boundaries of traditional printmaking by blending painting, collage, and mark-making techniques in his unique and vibrant cityscapes. Jayson’s recent works consider how we explore and understand the landscapes that we inhabit – incorporating maps, travel tickets and even Monopoly boards as entry-points through which to start considering the human landscape.

Jayson lives and works in Kent.

Ephemeral wild landscapes

Anna Masters

Anna is a mixed-media and installation artist whose works focus on the natural landscape. Through a unique and painstaking process – which combines weaving, stitch and collage – she creates floating floral works which have an ethereal and dreamlike quality. Through her works, Anna evokes hazy memories of place; deconstructed landscapes that flit in and out of focus.

Anna lives and works in Kent.
